ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Private Sessions
* $100 for new student session, one and a half hours in studio or Jill's home studio
This would include a body posture assessment, range of motion assessment including hips, knees, and shoulders, the discussion of a student's goals and needs, and poses and/or any breathing exercises to begin a practice. Digital images are taken of the student and are emailed to them along with initial information about the poses.
* $60 per hour session in studio
Each private session is tailored to suit the student's individual needs with poses and manual adjustments. The goal is to help the student understand their body and how the poses relate to them. Activities of daily living may be discussed and how they affect the student's overall well being.
New students may request continued digital images and text so that they may have a permanent document for their practice. This would be at a cost of $15 per session. The student then has a visual reminder of the session so that they may practice throughout the following days until the next private session. It has been my experience as a teacher that learning is greatly enhanced using this process. The student then accumulates a booklet of poses and text for future reference.
Special Group Classes
Small groups of students may wish to have a short duration of classes in which to pursue greater study in an area of interest, such as asana, meditation, or philosophy. If you and your family or friends are interested in a special class series contact Jill. Classes can take place in the studio, working around our current schedule, or in Jill's home studio. Fee per student is $15 per class, minimum class size is 4, class length will be one hour.
Creating a Private Practice Space
Developing a personal practice can be challenging. You may attend class once or twice per week and you feel stronger and more flexible than you have in years, but would you like to take your practice one step further? What about creating a personal space all of your own in your own home? Maybe you have tried and it just hasn’t worked, you are not sure where to practice, what you will need, or how to create your space. Let Jill help you create your private practice space for asana and meditation, or simply just to read or to journal. Jill will draw on her former training as an interior designer and space planner and her organizational skills to create a private oasis for your contemplative practice. She will work with what you have and be mindful of creating a space that will work for you and your household, whether you live alone or have a family with pets. You know yoga and a few minutes of private time can increase your well being. We must learn to take care of ourselves, for if we don’t, how can we take care of others? If you are ready to make time in your life to create a better you, call Jill and we’ll discuss arrangements for a private oasis of your own.
Initial consultation in client’s home: $80 Includes an assessment of your goals, needs, and wishes; discussion for where your space will be; measurement of the space for possible redistribution of furnishings; a tour of the home to “shop” for items you may already have for props and decorative items to furnish your space; discussion for implementation for your plan to create the space of your dreams.
Time allowed for initial fee will be one and a half hours, extra time at initial consultation will be at a fee of $20 per hour
Additional time thereafter: $30 per hour Includes any time spent ordering or shopping for items such as yoga props or decorative furnishings for the space, space planning, reorganizing the space in client’s home, putting the items into place and finalizing your private retreat.
Upon initial meeting, client will be asked to sign a simple contract stating their wish to have the work done, as well as a budget constraint for additional time spent, and any purchases made for the client will be previewed with a signed contract or paid in advance. Having worked in the design industry for many years prior to her yoga studio business, Jill knows how important it is that the client set their guidelines and a direction for the work to be done. It is her desire that you find a personal practice space that meets your time and budget needs. Some of the “home” work can be done by the client, but if you are having difficulty finding the time to create your private space let Jill create one for you and you will be on your way to wellness.
